It also focuses on improving menstrual health across the continent. This initiative is not just breaking barriers; it’s building futures.

Addressing a Critical Need
Menstrual health is a fundamental issue that often goes overlooked. Yet, it plays a crucial role in enabling access to education and economic opportunities for women and girls. She for She addresses this by producing and distributing reusable menstrual pads. As a result, menstruation does not hinder progress for schoolgirls or working women. In addition, the initiative fosters stable incomes, empowering women to take charge of their futures.

Expanding the Reach: Sierra Leone
Taking their mission further, She for She, in collaboration with FANT, is now reaching 2,000 girls across 36 communities in Sierra Leone. This impactful program includes not only the distribution of reusable menstrual pads but also educational workshops. These workshops aim to teach menstrual health, break taboos, and encourage open conversations, fostering understanding among both girls and boys.

Advocacy in Action
Advocacy efforts like the Menstruation Walk highlight the importance of raising awareness about menstrual health. Events in Ghana and Sierra Leone have brought together hundreds of girls, creating spaces to celebrate progress and inspire change. These powerful moments show the impact of collective action in overcoming barriers.
